Sunan Muria Religious Tourism
Sunan muria is one of the religious tours in kudus city, Sunan muria is the tomb of one of the wali songo (spreaders of Islam in Java) namely Raden Umar Said, who is the son of sunan Kalijaga named Raden Said, Sunan muria's tomb is located at the foot of Mount muria, and to get to the tomb you can walk up +-430 steps because the place is indeed 1,600 meters above sea level, or if you are not strong you can take a motorcycle taxi with a tariff of 20,000 to get to the tomb.
The fare is indeed commensurate with the twists and turns of the road in Muria, winding roads, up and down, right and left cliffs and ravines are the challenges of motorcycle taxis every day, it sounds quite scary especially the speed of the motorcycle taxi drivers who are very fast, and we ride without wearing helmets in terms of safety is indeed lacking, but this is a hidden gem that we will not find anywhere else and a very beautiful view of the ravine we will be able to feel when riding a motorcycle taxi. But calm down, when we get there we don't get there right away, but we have to walk with the right and left merchants of knick-knacks, souvenirs, pentol muria, and Parijoto.
Pentol muria is a food made from flour, and pentol there has a distinctive taste that is not found in other places, its distinctive sauce also distinguishes it from pentol in general making pentol muria a must-try food. And Parijoto, is a fruit that has the size of a peanut and tastes sour. It will be pink when it is raw, while when it is ripe it turns black. This fruit is believed to increase fertility, usually newlyweds when making a pilgrimage will buy the fruit.
After walking for a while, we also climbed the stairs a little to get to the tomb of Raden Umar Said, after which we made a pilgrimage, and after the pilgrimage, we can drink sacred barrel water, this water is believed to cure various kinds of strange diseases that medically cannot be cured. The water is taken from the barrel and put in small glasses that taste very fresh and can also be taken home, after that we can go out, but on the left side of the exit route we can see a stone pedestal relic of Sunan Muria which is full of coin splashes.

If we bring food from home, we can eat at the rest area, precisely next to the toilet before entering the stairs of Sunan Muria's tomb, that place is the hidden gem of Muria in my opinion, because we can eat lesehan with a beautiful and very cool view of the ravine.

Usually when we go down, we prefer to walk through the stairs rather than taking a motorcycle taxi, because when we go down we can buy typical muria souvenirs as well as exercise, we can buy large typical muria bananas, Ganyong (tuber food such as sweet potatoes), Jenang (like dodol), and banana chips, spinach, breadfruit, which taste very good, and are suitable for souvenirs for family and neighbors around the house.

Or if the trip feels less we can go to Montel Waterfall, the main gate is quite close to the tomb of Sunan Muria, and we can also walk, after a long journey we can see the beauty of the waterfall, we can play water or take selfies there, but avoid it during the dry season, because sometimes there is no water.

In addition to Montel waterfall, you can also go to the Three Flavors Water, later we can taste the water sourced from 3 small wells and it tastes like there is soda and each of them has a different taste, and to go down to the parking lot you can take a motorcycle taxi, it used to cost 12,000 but maybe now it has increased because I was there last in 2018.
